About the maker
In 2004 Ashley and Jane Huntington moved their young family from their life working in the Languedoc region of France to the Derwent Valley in Tasmania in the hope of growing vines and making wines.
Rather the Huntingtons' discovered a rich hop growing history, pursuing a project based on ales and ciders that were alive and tasted just that. Brewed of mixed and wild fermentation, the ales will develop acidity and complexity as they age. Ensure you take note of the neck label that includes a host of detail about the particular brew you have in your hand. This includes brew & bottling dates, ingredients (including hop varietal detail), and tasting notes specific to your batch. Ashley Huntington has an organic chemistry degree, a diploma in winemaking and spent the best part of a decade working in the wine industry in France. Describing himself as brewing on the ‘lunatic fringe’, he is the height behind the name of the company. Ashley was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2012.See the Two Metres Tall collection here
