What happens when you ferment Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne on skins for 161 days in amphora? You get an LPM VMR. Broader than the usual VMR, hints of Viognier oiliness tempered by the tannin from skins and clay amphora. Burnt orange and apricot aromas and vibes. Pair this with a bold curry or take it to a Korean BBQ sesh.

Close to 1000m above sea level on Australia's Granite Belt, La Petite Mort is an experimental project for winemaker Glen Robert and partner/viticulturist Robert Richter.

The farming is hands off, whilst not certified, they use only organic friendly products in the field and intervene in years when they need to. The winemaking follows the true natural ethos, careful and deliberate. Their wines are contemporary ode to some old Italian and French classics. Bold, adventurous, full of character and quirky styles.
