About the maker
From the coastal Sicilian town of Marsala in Sicily, Antonino inherited a small estate in 90s and began to plant vineyards to do a few experiments with varieties for family consumption until 2011.
Now taking over from his father, Fabio works with 5 hectares of Catarratto, Grillo, Nero d’Avola and Merlot. Most of the vineyards are located practically in front of the Stagnone Islands of Marsala. Catching the sea breeze and warm Sicilian sun, the wines have carry this fresh yet ripe taste throughout. In the cellar Fabio chooses to use temperature controlled fermentation (as temperatures can get too high after harvest) but works with indigenous yeast and only small amounts of sulphur at bottling.See the Fabio Ferracane collection here
