About the maker
After more than a decade of working casually in wine retail, with attempts at many other careers: from Rock singer to United Nations Development Programme Officer, Tim Ward decided it was time to throw everything he had at learning about wine.
With experience in large scale wineries, from Priorat in Spain to Martinborough in New Zealand, it was his visit to Domaine La Grange Tiphaine in the Loire Valley that sparked his interest in making wine in another fashion. Small scale, sensitive, refreshing, less about fruit more about soil, less about oak more about finesse, less industrial product more artisan expression of grape and place.
