2018 Le Coste Litrozzo Bianco

Floating in 1 litre bottles the Le Coste Litrozzos always arrive in Australia just as the weather is warmer, you begin looking for a summer light thirst quenching clean wine. A blend of Procanico, Malvasia, Roscetto, Romanesco and Petino from various plots of younger vines, the wine spends a couple of days on skins and with a short élevage (process between fermentation, ageing and bottling) of about nine months in fibreglass vats. It's adventurous, full of bright energy and citrus fruits, it is the perfect picnic wine.

Nestled between Tuscany and Umbria, lies Gradoli. It is here the mastermind, Gianmarc Antonuzzi and Clementine Bouveron, tend to their diverse fields. Biodynamic practices are carried out, the fields are filled with oaks, olive groves, chestnut trees and shrubs. Le Coste has nothing added, nothing removed, allowing the healthy grapes speak through the wine. The varieties span Procanica, Malvasia, Moscato, Vermentino, Merlot and others. It is his belief that one must have a relationship with the vines that offer you their fruit and is a sin to manipulate or adulterate, hence the need for organic farming. To then further manipulate the wine is not natural, and although challenging, he is proud to be a craftsman of such wines. Nothing added, nothing removed, just grapes.
