2019 Le Coste 'Le Primeur' Aleatico Magnum

Lazio, Italy

Le Primeur is made with the Aleatico vines situated grown in wildly volcanic soils. 15 days of carbonic maceration before fermenting in Slavonian oak for one mont and ageing for less than a year in barrel. A red fruit nose as cherry and wild strawberry juicy and super fresh. Fluffy amaro-like bitterness for an ultimate refreshing nature. So suitable for a warm or sunny winters day and an absolute pleasure to drink. CHILL ME.

2019 Le Coste 'Le Primeur' Aleatico Magnum
About the maker

If you don't know, now you know.

Nestled between Tuscany and Umbria, lies Gradoli. It is here the mastermind, Gianmarc Antonuzzi and Clementine Bouveron, tend to their diverse fields. Biodynamic practices are carried out, the fields are filled with oaks, olive groves, chestnut trees and shrubs. Le Coste has nothing added, nothing removed, allowing the healthy grapes speak through the wine. The varieties span Procanica, Malvasia, Moscato, Vermentino, Merlot and others. Le Coste is energetic yet light and balanced. You can read his interview in our Learn hub.

It is his belief that one must have a relationship with the vines that offer you their fruit and is a sin to manipulate or adulterate, hence the need for organic farming. To then further manipulate the wine is not natural, and although challenging, he is proud to be a craftsman of such wines. Nothing added, nothing removed, just grapes.
