About the maker
Il Modo is the passion project of Ray Nadeson and Maree Collis of Lethbridge Estates, who sought to replicate some of the skin maceration intensive techniques of Italy and amphora usage from Georgia.
Ray described the wines as an extension of his 20 years of experimentation. We describe them as freakin delicious, moreish and tongue captivating. All the wines are fermented on skins in 800Lt Tuscan Amphora for 11 months and have been inspired by the great wines of Italy’s South and islands. Whilst alternative in varietal and in production the wines are fundamentally grounded by both balance and deliciousness.See the Il Modo collection here
