2018 Frukstereo 'Cider Revolution'

Made with waste fruit (apples and pears) from local Swedish farmers, these guys are making wines like no others. Cox apples have been macerated like red wine with its skins for about two weeks. The “free”-run juice of this fermentation forms “Cider revolution” and the more tannic re-pressed juice goes into “Pulp 2018”. The pears have been fermented out dry and left with flor like fino sherry for a couple of months to give the cider its salty intensity.

About the maker

After years in the restaurant business as runners, dishwashers, waiters, managers and sommeliers two Swedish boys decided it was time to spread the word about good produce and good beverages.

These Swedish swindlers maker ciders and fun fruit driven pet-nats. Originally (2016) they made everything at Hällåkra Vingård, 30 km outside of Malmö, with fruit from the farm and the villages close by. The year after they got their own place in the old harbour area close to the city center of Malmö where they now produce everything by hand from fruit to finished product. The wines are often divided into albums...as you can tell they're musos too.
