About the maker
Pato and Bastian Cea from Doña Luisa are seventh and eighth generation vignerons of a family that has tended to the same vines of País for 250 years.
On the bank of the Bio Bio river, with the soil complete with alluvial deposits and volcanic sand, it's there that Pato and Bastian bring together climate, soil and their traditional culture to produce beautiful País wine. The name, 'Ladrón de Uvas (grape theif) is humorous play on the fact that there are night time thieves that steal grapes off the vine in the middle of the night. Bottled in re-used burgundies, hand waxed and driven to the port by them, this is the first time this family wine has been represented outside of Chile.See the Doña Luisa collection here
