Charlie and Simon's 2018 bianco is 100% biodynamic Vermentino with a casual 3 weeks of skin contact and aged in terracotta amphora giving the wine a mouth full of texture and chewyness. The flavours are reminiscent of peaches and other stone fruits, but a short and balanced hit of acidity for maintaining some crispness. This thoughtful fun juice would be perfectly paired with a rich meal or just sitting around with a bunch of friends chewing the bit!

About the maker

Charlie O’Brien and Simon Jones decided one day to set out and create a fun label that spoke to people instantly, choosing a name that played on the mid 80s and early 90s underground cultural movement.

Sourcing organic and biodynamic grapes from the Central Ranges in New South Wales, Chateau Acid is a partnership that captures the passion of two good mates. Charlie also produces some pretty cool music, DJs regularly in Sydney and casually runs a non-for-profit called Heaps Decent that engages young people through music. What started as a 650 bottle first vintage, is now growing and improving with the 2018 release of the bianco, rosé and red.
