About the maker
A young winemaker in the hills of Monferrato, Nadia's family have cultivated grapes for family and bulk consumption since 1908. however it's only in the last 20 odd years that Nadia and her father have decided to bottle and sell the wine.
Cascina Tavijn consist in about five hectares of vineyards and two hectares of hazelnuts, all organically grown (certified since 2007). Nadia like to works with little intervention as possible in the cellar and with only native grapes: Grignolino, Ruche', Barbera, Freisa, Slarina and Baratuciat. The wines are elegant and discreet, opening up over time and showing a surprising character and freshness.See the Cascina Tavijn collection here
