2017 Thomas Boutin 'Celsiane' Chenin Blanc

Loire Valley, France

Think of a dry white of nashi pear, honeydew, chamomile and pretty floral deliciousness. That's what a perfect Chenin Blanc tastes like from the Loire Valley. Coming from 5 different plots, 2 of which were planted just after world war 2, with a very light ferment taking place over a year the wine is left with oodles of texture and complexity.

2017 Thomas Boutin Celsiane Chenin Blanc
About the maker

Having studied enology and worked in larger wineries Thomas Boutin has slowly grown his parcel of vineyards yet remains as passionate as ever for small scale and minimal intervention.

Farming 2 hectares in Rochefort-sur-Loire and 1 hectare in Saint Aubin, Thomas is evolving as a winemaker, and experiments whilst learning and finding his style. His wines are truely natural expressions of grapes that are known for their history amongst the Loire Valley.
