About the maker
Massimiliano Croci has been flying quietly under Italy's natural wine scene and his focus is primarily on traditional bottle re-fermented wines of his area.
Massimiliano looks after about 16 hectares across the estate with half dedicated to growing those local varietals. His poly-cultural farm maintains a mix of cows, grains and of course vines. Taking inspiration from his grandfather, he decided in 1999 to buck the trend of the 'clean' wave (heavy filteration and fining) that had been moving through the region and decided he would bottle with sugars to create bottle re-fermentation.
