2017 Radikon 'Slatnik' Bianco Blend

Friuli, Italy

Drifting in a 750ml bottle, the Slatnik is composed 80% of Chardonnay, 20% Tocai, 12 days on the skins. One of the pioneering family of the natural wine movement, this biodynamic wine is complex yet easy drinking orange wine. Rich and bold with a nice line of acidity for crispness. Pair this with any food, meat or fish, and with nutty Italian cheeses or save this for years to come and expect it to soften and become more supple.

2017 Radikon 'Slatnik' Bianco Blend
About the maker

The wines produced by the late Stanislao (Stanko) Radikon and his son Saša have inspired a devoted following of winemakers, critics and consumers from all parts of the globe.

Radikon, close to the Slovenia border in Italy, seeks to create natural and uncomprising wine, free of chemical pesticides, temperature-controlled fermentation and sulfur and biodynamic or organic viticulture. In 1995, Stanko began the long journey of returning to the tyle his grandfather followed, one of extended maceration periods, the use of oak barrels, manual harvesting and extended barrel ageing. Eventually with no sulfur by 2002. Now in the courageous and delicate hands of Sasa, these wines are very unique and hold a special place in many hearts around the world.
