About the maker
An hour drive from Rome, you will find a monastery, opened in 1957, with now around 80 sisters who live by the principle of pray and work; tending to vineyards and making exceptional wine.
The sisters have been organically farming their five hectares of vines for decades, but it wasn't until Giampiero Bea began consulting to them in the early 2000s that their wines gained a larger audience. Today their wines are a huge hit, they have a cult like following and sell out shortly after releasing. The vineyards, orchards and gardens are cultivated organically and without the use of machinery.
