2017 Geyer Wine Co Semillon

Sourced from three different vineyards, two coming from vines approximately 90-100 years old, David is no stranger to creating delicious and succulent skin contact whites. Lovely candied fruit on the nose and plenty more in the mouth with texture, grip and lovely acidity. The perfect introduction to skin contact white wine. Quite a complex fermentation where one-half are direct pressed (no skin contact), the other half are split between whole bunches (skins and stems) and destemmed (just skins). They are then blended and kept in 1950s foudre for 6 months before bottling. Serious 10 out of 10 for Australian skinsy organic whites.

About the maker

David Geyer, one half of Yetti and the Kokonut, makes drinkable delicious wines out of the Barossa that seamlessly bridge traditional and contemporary winemaking through his ability to revive and nurture old vineyards in order to create modern wines.

We're in absolute awe of David's winemaking skills.
