About the maker
Francois and Pascaline Plouzeau from Richelieu in the Loire Valley, tend to biodynamic vineyards and are making varying lively yet complex wines.
On a green hill, 130 meters above sea level, lies 'La Garrelière', where they have been making wine for more than three centuries. On this hill the vines receive the best sunshine and the surrounding forest provides diversity of cultures (think truffles, asparagus, cereals etc.). François, having driven the site since 1993, farms strictly biodynamically due to his care about the earth and ensuring harmonious living conditions between land, plant and environment are maintained. The practice of bio-dynamism on a vineyard makes it possible to produce a wine expressing its terroir, with its peculiarities.See the Domaine de la Garrelière collection here
