About the maker
Benoit Camus the man and the wine reside in a village Ville-sur-Jarnioux in Beaujolais, where he produces a very small and very rare quantity of wines every year.
Benoit Camus produces most of his wine under Phillipe Jambon's 'negotiant' label. From his 5ha plot, he produces a tiny amount each year for his own bottling. Benoit’s winemaking is slow and careful. Perfect fruit is fermented in concrete tank, usually as whole bunches then pressed after he deems the time is right. The soil is rich in limestone, leaving a freshness, slight chalkiness and uplifting nature to his wines.See the Benoit Camus collection here
