About the maker
Having worked as a viticulture consultant for many years, Renan Cancino returned to his village Sauzal to focus on the país grape and bolster his community's economy.
Renan practices traditional rotational agriculture between wheat and sheep, supporting his small neighbours by buying their grapes at sustainable prices. This means paying them higher prices to keep them doing what they are doing and do best. Renan's story of winemaking is quite warming. He avoids all SO2, filtering and fining in his delicate winemaking.See the Huaso De Sauzal collection here
