About the maker
Only 300 metres from the Adriatic sea, Mirco Mariotti is making drinkable, laidback, beach style wines from local vines that have been growing for over 100 years.
The 100 + year old vines, with roots good deep two meters to the aquifer below have been untreated and are as natural as they come. As such his wines have this salty, savoury vibe that is hard to ignore. Mirco's style is inspired by the moment of having friends around to play cards and his price point speaks to that. In the area locals eat grilled flat-bread sandwiches called 'piadina romagnola', and slosh back his frothy frizzante. Mirco's natural wines are of immense value, made from local varieties that are unique, delicious, and without pretence.See the Mirco Mariotti collection here
