Les Grangeons de l'Albarine

Luc Bauer, the quiet winemaker from Bugey in France, is produces small quantities of exceptional wines every year, reflecting the history and terroir of the unique limestone Albarine Valley.

Luc, having graduated from Engineering school,  decided to get another degree from Lycée Viticole in Davayé. He then went on to train at several winemakers’ like the Bret Brothers, Domaine Jambon in the Beaujolais region but also in Canada. A young biodynamic winemaker and also part of an association to help people convert their fileds to organic practices, Luc is known for his quiet and mild-mannered personality. The plot in Bugey, Albarine Valley, is built on steep limestone slopes. At only 2 hectares, these wines are precious in taste and allocation, with only around 3 thousand made every year. The wines have become a true and authentic representation of this unique site in France.
