Good Intentions Wine is the brainchild of the lovely Andrew and Louise, a farmer and musician, who decide to move back home and set out to make natural wines that reflect their personalities, a place, a time and all through a minimalistic approach.
Having been volcanic around 6,000 years ago, Mount Gambier has an incredible geology and is quite unique in the context of Australia. The land is filled with pockets of water from underground caves, limestone rich and sustains a cool climate. The combination of all these factors lends itself to perfect growing conditions for growing certain grape varieties. The family follow old world wine methods, preferring the challenges of hand picking fruit, open fermenting with indigenous yeast and only adding sulphur when required by the wine and only source their grapes from organic parcels.
