Domaine Des Grottes is seen to by Jan Van Roekel, a Dutch expatriate making superb and boundary-pushing Gamay in the Beaujolais region.
Historically, Domaine des Grottes was purely a vineyard. Today, the fields are tended to biodynamically and promote diversity by growing cereals, aromatic and medicinal plants. When Romaine des Grottes took over the plot he removed half the vines, he now plants an array of plants, grains and vegetables amongs his plot.
