From humble beginnings in Melbourne's City Wine Shop, Oscar Hermann has always enjoyed site driven wines from both the new and old worlds.
Oscar's brother, Kaspar, also has wine running through his veins, now the head winemaker at Rochford. Having joined in for a couple of vintages with Kaspar, Oscar decided it was time to make something of his own. With fruit sourced predominantly around the Yarra, the wines are always a sensory experience of place. The wines never lack detail, character and are already regarded highly by many in the industry, but at the same time they're all very very drinkable. As of late, Oscar has just signed a lease on a vineyard in St Andrew with plantings dating back to 1995. Watch his space!
