About the maker

Andrew and Louise, a farmer and musician, moved back home and set out to make wines that reflect their personalities, a place, a time and all whilst maintaining a minimalistic approach to winemaking.

Having been volcanic around 6,000 years ago, Mount Gambier has an incredible geology and is quite unique in the context of Australia. The land is filled with pockets of water from underground caves, limestone rich and sustains a cool climate. The combination of all these factors lends itself to perfect growing conditions for growing certain grape varieties. The family follow old world wine methods, preferring the challenges of hand picking fruit, open fermenting with indigenous yeast and only adding sulphur when required by the wine and only source their grapes from organic parcels.
