About the maker
Marco Burrati lives his life with minimal possessions, almost monk like, and makes his wines in exactly the same manner. Only grapes, barrels and tanks.
Marco Buratti’s Azienda Agricola Farnea is in the far north of Italy with around two hectares of vines and three hectares of woodlands as part of the Colli Euganei National Park. The rich volcanic soils of the area have drawn vignerons in since early in the eighteenth century. All the grapes are hand harvested, the fields are worked without any chemicals and the wines are untouched through the process. The resultant wines represent the forest so superbly well that it creates a truly unique tasting set of wines.See the Farnea collection here
